Where is VIN printed on the chassis
I am on Italian GC forum and no one seems to know this answer.
I have installed methan equipment on my ZJ 96 limited, which was imported at the time from Canada, and Italian authority wants to see the VIN number imprinted on the chassis.
Not the one on the back of the windshield as that is rivet (and removable).
Does anyone of you know where it is?
Somewhere I found it should be on the right (passenger) frame rail inside the engine compartement, near the shock absorber attachement but I am not able to locate it.....
HELP

By the way, I know that in Canada you have methan supply, if anyone wants to see how this is made here, just write on this post and I'll make a new tread.

Re: Where is VIN printed on the chassis
VIN should be located on the dash, driver's door post, top left rad support, and either the left or right frame rail. There was no real set place that they located it so it may be back further on the frame rail.
I would love to see some pictures of the methane setup (natural gas here), it's common in some places in Canada and non-existant in others.
What size of cylinders are you using and what's your range with it?
