Canada Repeated Heater Core Failure 01 Grand Cherokee Ltd

This Jeep is a v8, 208k, babied in the worst way. It's on it's 4th heater core this year. Why is this happening?

The first 2 were done at a mechanic, the 3rd at the dealer. The thermostat has been changed twice, blend door was also replaced but not the answer. It leaks out the drainage tube from the resevoir and must be topped up every 3 days or so and leaves puddles every where we go. I am sick and tired of this but the jeep is otherwise in amazing condition. Drives like brand new and has been babied. $5717.22 in 2011 alone trying to fix this nightmare.

I need help please. I getting hosed.

wow thats tough... but when they replace the heatercore do they actually see a problem with the unit itself... the only thing to do would be to go thru and inspect the new one for any flaws before hand, and have them repaired... i've seen some lousy brazing jobs on some heatercores, kinked lines...

once it gets to the point your at, it might be time to get involved, inspect everything, inspect the new unit, the existing lines, and inspect the installation before its all hidden under the dash...

If your heater core failed you would get a leak on the passenger floor and not out of the drainage tube from the reservoir. Try a new radiator cap.
