Interior lights not shutting off
Hello, having some problems with the battery being drained. Problem started when I had some bodywork done on the drivers side door and they also replaced the keylock cyclinder in the door. Upon picking up the jeep the battery was immediately dead. Finally got it going and then several days later I found it was dead again. Charged it up and found the interior lights will not shut off. They go off with the ignition in the "ON" position and also in the accessory position the interior lights are off but when the key is switched to the off position the interior lights stay on and will not shut off. I pulled the fuse for the lights but still the next day the battery was drained. Anybody have any idea what areas to check. The jeep was fine before I had the bodywork done. It is a 97 GCL 5.2. I would really appreciate some feedback. thanks alot!!!!

Re: Interior lights not shutting off
Hi Kelly,
Not really sure about the ZJ's but if the door was off, maybe they knocked or nicked one of the wires on the door switch? Is there just the one fuse for all the lights?, usually the interior lights are on a seperate fuse from the headlights. I'll see if I have any wiring diagrams around to check.
