Infinity Gold Stereo
Hello
New to site hope someone can answer a ? about stereo in my jeep it is a infinty gold system and have to replace a speaker,have been told that I have to use the speaker for the infinity gold stereo,can I use anything other as long as they are a match

Hi Pat, don't really see it being a problem. There are wiring adaptors that you can buy so you can install aftermarket speakers and still use the stock harness. Check out www.wjjeeps.com, a ton of useful info!
Just a question but your not refering to your Jeep with your site name are you???

as long as it is the same impedence should not be a problem....4 ohms, 8 ohms not sure, but best to verify. Also make sure of wattage rating as well. If too low watts you could pop it. You may have a power amp under back seat

I had a dead tweeter that I had to replace, so I picked up a nice set of JBL components, cut the factory adapter off and wired the speakers in. Sounds way better then stock.
