Hi everyone, new in town here.
I hope this find you well.
So the car is a Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel.
Check this out,
The two holes are under the fog light. vertically aligned.

So, I found these two crack holes this morning and wondered what may have been the cause. I have been observing my car frequently almost every day and they were never there before.
I did park the car on the roadside due to not getting a parking spot in the driveway.
Given how they look, the higher surfaces around them were not damaged, it does not look like they're caused by a fender bender or a sideswipe to me. But what do you guys think?
Most importantly, are there any electrical or mechanical components that can be damaged behind that plastic part after some time due to exposure to water or anything from the outside?
Thank you very much in advance!

I'd suggest calling the cops and letting them know it looks like a side wipe of a yellow vehicle, maybe they can help.
As far as damaged wiring, just stick you head under that area and with a flashlite or trouble light check, but I doubt
you'll find any problem. (of course block the wheels) u don't want to get run over by ur own vehicle

I only have liability coverage on my car insurance though

How long has it been? Since the insurance isn't going to pay anything the only thing is it might be called a hit and run
and advising the cops is a good idea.
