I have a 98 Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 4.0L.
I purchased it about a year ago, but was not told about its electrical issues.

The hazard lights come on random while the vehicle is parked. I get a light show in the middle of the night often enough. Killed my battery one time when I went away for a week..Not to sure if there is a after market alarm. But im assuming there is.
Not sure if the problems are related but the horn doesnt sound ever, and while driving the dash lights periodically dim then come back on, sometimes stay dim for quite some time. But it doesnt affect the headlights or dome lights....I dont know how or where to being to fix it.

 

Check for a broken or cracked wire in the rubber sleeve between the body and drivers door.
