Hi guy's thought I would pass this along. Was driving home last night and suddenly there's a loud bang and I'm tipping back into the back seat.
Pulled the seat out today and this is what I found. The left front seat bracket had broken in half! Went and checked the g/f's Jeep and her's was cracked to, almost a 1/4 of the way through.
Welded them both up so there good to go again but you may want to check yours out.
It's a press formed piece of metal so the only thing I can figure is that this batch had flaws in the castings before they were formed.

 

i've had that happen to my XJ, and it drove me nuts... (but a block of wood under to prop it up till i got to a welder) preemptive check of the WJ in the AM...
