Default 2000 grand cherokee power lock issue

My drivers front and rear doors will unlock with the remote and lock button but won't lock with either. I can only lock them manully once i have locked the truck with the remote or button. Any thoughts on this would be great.

hadfan,

Sorry to see you're having issues with your Limited.
It sounds to me like there may be a corroded wiring issue or a a glitch with a module.
My suggestion is to get it in to your local dealer and let them have a look see.

May need to reset the system, ether that or the actual phsyical FOB itself is sending the same signal for both buttons. I've heard of this happening before, it's not common issue for sure.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've heard about the possible wiring issue before but never thought about a modual or the fob. Well it's a starting point.
