West Spedo Changes with bigger tires

Sorry if this has been posted already just couldn't find any thing related on this site. I am about to install a 3.5 inch suspension lift kit on my 2000 Cherokee. I will be adding along with the lift; 31 inch tires. The questions I have are
1. Will I have to make changes to the spedometer so it reads correctly?
2. If I do is there a way of doing it without bringing into a local jeep shop?

Thanks

Yep, it will be way off. I did a gear swap on a old 5.0L mustang & had to change the speedo gear.

Hey ! I have a Wrangler X with a 2" lift and 285/70/17 tires that are 32.something high. I notice my speedo off about 4 mph from my GPS speed. I haven't and don't know how to fix it , I just do the calculation in my head as I'm driving.
