2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Tire Size

I have the above mentioned jeep with 245/65/R17 tires on it. I need new tires and am wondering if there will be much, or any difference, if I go with 235/65/R17 tires?

The 235 tire is actually about 1/2" smaller than the stock tire. It will also spin 1.7% faster than stock.

they will fit, but they will be skinnier.
