Proud New Jeep Owner in Ottawa
Hey guys. Just purchased a 2009 Sahara Unlimited last week and I absolutely love it. I went from an '04 Santa Fe to this beast. Ive been browsing through the info you folks have been posting in the forums here and hope to, one day, be as knowledgeable. Had my first Jeep wave within 5 minutes of pulling off the dealer lot! Now I spend more time watching for other Jeep owners than the road. lol
I am wondering where you guys get most of your after market accessories (online, in store?) I have been looking for some retail shops in the area but not seeing too many choices in Ottawa.
Look forward to learning from you guys!

Hiya,
Welcome. I've never dealt with these people, I don't know anything about them BUT they have a s tore in Smith's Falls (not too far from home for you). Maybe some other members can give you some feedback on their set-up.

Have had to search a bit for offroad parts and accessories, Ottawa is pretty sparse, and when not dealing online (usually US) I've found a few places close to home.
National4wd Centres are the go-to shop for 4x4 stuff in Canada - but they aren't always cheap. Price around before driving to Smith's Falls, and use their online site (which can be tough to search and navigate, but they usually have everything even if the site lacks) . Have dealt with them before and service is good, if calling the Smith's Falls store, Brad seemed to know his stuff.
Locally, Sean Maisonneuve over at Premier Parts has been able to find decent prices on aftermarket Jeep gear - and especially wheels for Jeeps. He runs an outlet of Premier Performance in Gloucester over in the Canotek Industrial Park. http://www.premierpartscanada.com
For ARB parts and accessories, I found Tony at Ouipack in Montreal has the best prices in the country and service is A+. Got amazing prices on an ARB bull bar bumper and Old Man Emu jeep suspension (as good as US, without the duty and shipping hassles). http://www.arbcanada.com
Just curious - at what Jeep Chrysler dealer did you get your Sahara? Service varies I've found dealing with a few in the city over the last 10 years of Jeep/Dodge ownership.
Welcome again and enjoy your new Jeep!

Top marks to the Jeep that waved to you within 5 minutes from the dealership.....that's what it's all about.
I've had very good service with National 4WD, have yet to order on line...bound to happen soon.
Enjoy your new Jeep, and get use to perma grin on your face, comes with ownership :)

Re: Proud New Jeep Owner in Ottawa
Thanks for the links and info guys! Much appreciated.
Huntbuggy, through all the dealerships Ive dealt with around the city, the only one (for me) that actually seemed to really care about us was Jeep Dodge Chrysler on Youville Drive in Orleans. Could really tell the difference between the passion for a Jeep and the others just attempting to make a sale.

Agree Orleans Dodge has been best in service compared to others I've dealt with. In the repair department Mike Johnson is about the most honest guy a Jeeper could ask for, and their parts guys are no nonsense and have gotten me next day parts consistently.
Have dealt with Ottawa (ex Cyrville), Southbank and Dilawri with "varying results"... ymmv.
