Hi everybody Jamie from Oshawa
I've owned nothing but GM vehicles all my life and with GM fixing to pull the rest of GM out of Oshawa I figured I owed nothing to the corporation anymore. (I've even been on the picket line with my father twice in the 80's) I just sold my 1996 GMC Sierra finally (I've attached the picture of it leaving my house)
I was intrigued by the Grand Cherokee over the years and my daughter bought a 2005 Laredo version, after driving it around a few times it kinda grew on me so of course being a hotrodder from way back I chased down the 5.7 Hemi version and was hooked. I pretty new to it so I'm still settling in with it but its fun so far. Great ride, super responsive, nice options.
I just have some explaining to do to the Dodge crowd for teasing them at the track years ago LOL

I never had the chance to try the 4.7 (I was about to try one at another dealership, If this one had failed my road test) I drove the V6 and was disappointed, then like a child with ADHD I obsessed over trying the 5.7. I had the mid 90's Impala SS (Cast LT1) and it kinda reminds me of that.

If you had driven a 4.7 after you drove a hemi you would have continued to look for a hemi, there is quite a difference in performance. There's nothing like having a howling v8 under the hood, I think my son's reaction the first time he drove it sums things up perfectly, he just said oooooh, v8.
