Canada Where to buy winter tires!

Hi Guys,

This is my first post so please be patient. I recently bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2008 3.0L Diesel Laredo version ... and I choose 18 wheel instead of standard 17 inch.
Now the tires size is 245/60-18 all season... the problem is this year in Canada the all season tires are not accepted anymore in winter so I looked everywhere on internet to find winter tires of this size and no chance :( ....
I don't know if there are some other winter sizes that could fit with my 18" wheels.
Could you please help me with this? Any links where I could buy winter tires would be very appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Two years ago Quebec made winter rated tires mandatory. Ontario has talked about this but I'm not sure if as law has been inacted. If so and you have a weather related accident could you be charged? Would your insurance cover you?

A really good winter tire is the Toyo Observe Open Country G-02 Plus. You can use a P235/65R18 because its overall diameter is well within 13mm of the OEM tire. I think the only drawback is this tires initial price but I think its wear characteristics still make it a good deal.

Try checking out a set of BFG Allteraines. I had them on my Cherokee for 3 years and they were great in all weather conditions. I travel all over Vancouver Island for work and have seen all weather conditions. The BFGs proved to be an exceptional tire for my vehicle. So much so that I have purchased a set for my 07 Wrangler Unlimited.
