Canada Speedometer/Odometer help & suggestions

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, so please be kind. I bought a 2012 Rubicon Unlimited about 2 months ago, but given the price I imagine that she will be a Road Queen for a little while at least. That said, I JUST bought a frame-up restored 95 YJ for "fun". This is what she has:

- Frame has been all plated and sandblasted and painted
- Shock mounts have been reinforced
- 4" skyjacker lift kit
- 1" body lift
- 1" boomerang shackles front and rear
- Dana 44 housings front and back with Powertrax locker
- Chevrolet Smallblock 350 V8
- Voodoo cam
- Headmen Shorty headers
- Edelbrock high rise intake manifold
- Edelbrock polished 600 CFM carb with electric choke
- Summit racing 3 row aluminum radiator
- Scout 2 steering box
- Metal lock-in hubs
- Smitty built 7" wide pocket fender flares
- 35" Micky Thompson MTZ tires
- 15x10 chrome deep dish rims
- B&M ratchet shifter
- NP208 transfer case
- TJ seats
- Bikini top, Wind Jammer, and tonneu cover and a hard top
- Fibreglass half doors
- Full set of white face gauges
- Sound bar
- Dual Flow Master exhaust 2 1/2" front to back
- Steel bumpers with swing out tire gate
- FOX emulsion shocks with external reservoirs
- Steering stabilizer
- chrome diff covers

The problem that I am having is with the Speedometer & Odometer. Does anyone here know how to mate the YJ Speedometer to this monster? Comments & Suggestions are welcome! I figured that I would just use my GPS, but if I can get the Speedo working, so much the better...

Thanks!

You didn't mention what transmission you are using. The speedo should be running off the tranny.
There are reduction gears you can buy to get your speedo more in line with the bigger tires and your setup.
There are also formulas you can use with your gear ratio's and tire size to calculate your speed in any given gear RPM.
You would have to check with a transmission shop and they could point you in the right direction.
