ROLLED MY JEEP ! help ?
Can anyone give me a starting point on how much I should list my banged up Jeep for ? I hate to let it go but I dont have the mechanical knowledge to look at repairing it. I can provide more information to anyone who might be able to help me out with this.
Thanx so much.

Re: ROLLED MY JEEP ! help ?
Hope no one was injured. As Billy mentioned if the frame is bent then its shud be sold for parts, but if not there it might be repairable, but at what cost impossible to say without looking at it. Do you have any offroading clubs near by or are you a member of one you could chk it out with them. Get an appraisal at least then you have an idea what your sure you can get for it. I shud ask first was it insuranced fully? You might get something there.

Re: ROLLED MY JEEP ! help ?
Thanx so much for your sympathy... Its VERY refreshing to hear that someone knows how I feel. Is it weird that I loved that thing almost as much as my kids ? lol I think that "realistically" the best thing to do is to "let it go" but Im having a REAL hard time doing that. Its been a year (Feb 5th) and I still gaze out my kitchen window at it every day and wish to God I was rich, just so that I could hire someone to make it all better. .... I think I better stop now lol. Thanx again for your help. Lorraine
PS. Worst part is - YES it was my fault. I was driving too fast on icy washboard country road

Re: ROLLED MY JEEP ! help ?
Hi there,
First off - thanx so much for responding ! Yes, it was fully insured. They gave me 16,500 for my Jeep. The "adjuster" to me, was a bit of a joke. He claimed the frame was bent without even so much as getting down on his knees. ? Unless of course you can just tell somehow. I clearly dont know a whole lot about these things. Ive been thinking of getting someone out here to "double check". I reeeealllly love my Jeep (bought a new one but its 'not the same' at all). Maybe Im just grasping ?
They say Im lucky to be here as I wasnt wearing a seat belt - and thank you for asking. ( my Jeep even drove me home after I gained consiousness ). your opinion ?... double check the frame or just let go ? Sorry to bug and thank you again !
PS. would you like more pictures or would you have to see it in person ?

Re: ROLLED MY JEEP ! help ?
Even if the frame is bent it can still be fixed. A few years back I bought a car that someone hit a pole with. The Left side of the frame was bent which pushed the wheel back in inch. I didn't even notice it until I started fitting a new fender on and nothing would line up. Two days in the body shop and $600 the frame was as good as new. The best way to find out if the frame is bent is to get it on a frame rack. If the frame is bent by 1/4th of an inch no one is going to notice that just by looking at it.
Your TJ comes apart like a Lego car and there is nothing that cant be bought for it aftermarket. There is nothing on a TJ that can't be fixed.

Re: ROLLED MY JEEP ! help ?
First off,I'm glad to hear you're ok and even though it's not mine,it still breaks my heart to see it in that condition.
I'd like to see more pics..all around the Jeep and as many as you can get of the undercarriage.
Personally,I would piece it back together, but I am a mechanic-too bad you live so far from me,I'd help you rebuild it.But if something can be done,I should be able to tell you if I can see some decent pics.
If not,I'll gladly buy the whole thing from you,and find a way to get it here,I could use many of the parts.
