Cool New guy from the island

Glad i found this site, its a little more close to home.I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH to get 1 of the 1st few 08 rubicons around in 07 . 1 yr. 30,000 kms later ,most bugs worked out [leaky roof, fried stereo, leaking block heater...] but still the best jeep i have ever owned !! This is the 14 th one in my family. My 82 cherokee [10' lift ,39.5 x 18 m.thompsons] has earned a full tilt resto/retirement package,so i am looking for black steel rims for the 08 [17x9 or 10]. Having no luck on the island [vancouver].The stock bfg s [32'] just dont look right with the 2' lift , and i am wrecking the stock alum. rims in the mud [flat faced].

Welcome Kitkat, from lovely Surrey yet. My brother lives about 4 blocks away from Gilford Center.
I guess it's a good thing you and Mudwieser have Jeep's with all the snow you've been getting lately.

Was a lot of fun with the snow. Got "traction challenged" twice but it doesn't count if you don't actually have to get out of the vehicle to get out of the spot. Can't wait to change these tire for some Bridgestone Revo's!

Yeah, It only counts as stuck if someone has a picture. :) No pics = didn't happen!
My son is getting tired of digging himself out in the mornings, most snow he's ever seen in the valley. (Aldergrove)
Do you do much wheeling in the Commander? Always wanted to check one out and see how it would perform off road.

I just got my Jeep 2 months ago. I am part of a Commander forum and these guys are hard core. With the QuadraTrac II full time 4WD, it should be able to go anywhere. I still have the ability to go into 4Lo which locks the axles. The only difference between this and a Wrangler is that I can take 7 people with rear air/heat and a V8. I just need to get better tires and a slight lift.

Well if you go wheeling with 7 people at least you've got a pit crew if something breaks. lol
