Good idea. Mudders won't hold up well on a long road trip like you're planning. I say screw what it looks like, just make sure it works for what you are doing with it. For a long trip on pavement, why burn expensive offroad rubber. Save those nice tires for the tundra ;?).

And I agree with Mr. White, your dealer should be sponsoring your trip and helping you pay for the tires, maybe in exchange for a Courtesy Chrysler logo somewhere on your Jeep.

God knows, the automotive industry needs all the help it can get these days and dealers who go out of their way to market and maintain the products they sell might just survive.

Take lots of pictures and let us know when you're blasting through Montreal.

Well regarding the tires, the jeep I bought came with the Baja's, so they were built into the price of the truck. I paid whatever the cost price is on those tires and wheels.

To buy those elsewhere they would cost a lot more than $800 wouldn't they?

I will chat with the dealer and see if I can get some freebies!

Unless www.jeepscanada.com wants to sponsor me in exchange for me putting a large sticker on my jeep!?!?!?!

Any takers? :)

I love that JC Maple Leaf logo and have suggested to admin before to produce a nice decal to help defray the cost of maintaining this site. No response so far. I deal with a few shops that do real nice top of the line 3M stuff. It would be a very Jeepworthy decal for all us canucks imo.

I contacted my dealer who told me they would give m cost price on any parts I wanted. I sent him a list of things I wil be buying. My question to you is, if I were to buy these elsewhere, what could I expect to pay?

1. 4 Stock wheels and tires
2, Winch and bumper mount
3. Remote Start
4. Complete aftermarket skid plate
5. Rocker guards

Thanks

I am currently looking for a good warn winch.

Does it really matter what kind of warn winch I get? Are some better than others? Is it better to buy the bumper mount for it as well?

too bad you got them from a dealer, the stock tires are cheap around different Jeep forums. I sold my 5 stock tires for $400. Yeah MT's arent good in the really cold and hard pack snow/Ice. They will wear out faster than a all season, so it was a good idea to swap them out for the trip. If you are passing through Ontaio in June stop by our JK Jam Canada

If your looking for a Warn the 8000 and 9500 are a good size for the Wrangler and either one will pull all day.
