Cleaning the tray on your pick-up truck
We love pick-up trucks. You either own one, have owned one or want to own one. To make sure the back tray remains in top-top condition it should be regularly washed and maintained after heavy use.
Before washing, clean your tray cover so the dirt doesn’t fall back into the tray. If you have a vinyl cover, wash and clean with Autoglym Interior shampoo and then protect it with Autoglym Bumper and Trim Gel. If you have a hardcover, simply wash with Autoglym Bodywork Wash & Wax, and then seal the paint with a coat of Autoglym Aqua Wax.
Begin washing the tray by opening the tray door, using a high pressure hose to rinse any excessive dirt or grime, then generously spray Autoglym Engine & Machine Cleaner, focusing on any particularly dirty areas.
Agitate the cleaner thoroughly using a soft brush to help work in the cleaner to dissolve oil, grease and grime.
Rinse thoroughly to reveal any missed spots, then reapply Engine & Machine Cleaner if you’ve missed any spots.
Once the back tray is clean, spray on Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care while the tray is still wet to protect the plastic and help restore its original colour, leaving a glossy water repellent film – you can wipe off any excess with an old cloth.
